Z1 SecureMail Easy makes e-mail encryption technology attractive to companies with up to 50 employees through its simple administration and low cost.
It is a package solution that consists of the following parts:

• Z1 Appliance
• Z1 Software
• Z1 Appliance Service Subscription, consists of:
  • Support
  • Hardware Exchange
  • Maintenance
  • Guarantee

This product was developed for law firms, chartered accountants, small public institutions such as public utility companies and local authorities as well as doctors, laboratories and other health care organizations.

Just like the enterprise version, Z1 SecureMail Gateway, Z1 SecureMail Easy comes with PKI and/or password features:

• Confidential e-mail traffic is established using password encryption (either with a web browser or encrypted PDF attachment), which matches the Z1 Messenger feature. The recipient only requires a regular web browser and Adobe Reader for secure e-mail traffic.


• Z1 SecureMail Easy is also available with S/MIME and PGP functionality. With S/MIME or OpenPGP the individual user does not have to worry about obtaining the required key and certificate. The internal user's private key is administered by Z1 SecureMail Easy. A contact's public certificate is obtained as a central service by Z1 Global TrustPoint from Zertificon (to be found at "http://www.globaltrustpoint.com"). Outsourcing the external certificate management simplifies the solution's administration considerably.

Z1 SecureMail Easy is available as an all-inclusive-package containing the individual components mentioned above.

A further asset of this solution is the small ‘book PC’ appliance. This means it has a manageable size and does not require a computer center to house it. This combination of components and pricing now makes the highly renowned and successful Z1 technology available to the SOHO sector.
