TrustCenter
Trustcenter are trustable, public or commercial organisations that offer a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and fulfill tasks that are essential for e-mail encryption and signature like:
- certifying public X.509 keys
- providing X.509 certificates via directory listings (LDAP)
- receiving and executing of revocations (revocation service)
- providing details about revocations (CRLs and/or OCSP-server)
- optionally providing additional services e.g. timestamps
With the Z1 SecureMail CA Connector we provide an interface for the Z1 SecureMail Gateway that connects to trustcenter and automatically processes required tasks. It issues, revokes and renews X.509 certificates for the separate users. You can specify settings for these tasks easily for mandators, groups, domains or users in a policy control panel. In addition, it's possible for different trustcenter to use InHouse-PKIs (like MS CA) and the onboard-CA of your Z1 SecureMail Gateway concurrently.
