What you will be doing
- Be the go-to person for employees in case of software and hardware issues: troubleshoot and resolve problems via Jira help desk
- Take care of employee onboarding: from setting up necessary tools to checking in new devices into the inventory system
- Install, configure, and maintain our PC landscapes (Linux, Windows, Mac OS)
- Take care of the essential office set-up: printers, projectors, and cameras
- Help us keep our IT systems secure: Monitor switches, firewalls, and servers to detect and handle issues
What we value in our candidates
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft systems administration (e.g. Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate certification)
- Basic knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WLAN, TCP/IP)
- Basic knowledge of Linux administration (Linux essentials)
- Ability to trace issues in monitoring systems and strong troubleshooting skills (operating systems, networking)
- You listen, communicate clearly, and set expectations, ensuring problems get solved while keeping the user experience smooth
- Work with care and empathy
- Ability to work under pressure and strong problem-solving skills
- Confident in both German (B2) and English (B1-B2), making sure nothing gets lost in translation
Experience in the following is advantageous:
- pfSense and Fortigate Firewalls
- Cisco Switches
- VMware solutions (incl. vCenter, Hypervisors, Horizon environment)
- Monitoring and logging systems (Zabbix, Graylog, Syslog)
