Berlin, 15. December 2015

The Berlin based encryption specialist Zertificon presents with Z1 SecureMail Gateway 4.9 the latest version of the leading email encryption solution for enterprises. New security rules, HV/A counter & reports for MSSP partners as well as an optimized, dynamic monitoring are some of the innovations.

Z1 SecureMail Gateway protects the company’s entire email traffic against external attacks. An intelligent combination of various security technologies ensures instantaneous communication with business partners and clients at any time, including those without any encryption infrastructure. The automatic signing and signature validation guarantees that email content cannot be tampered with.

Version 4.9 of the Z1 SecureMail Gateway provides Security Rules for special content types such as calender invitations to make sure that they remain usable in email clients such as MS Outlook.

A further innovation are Advanced Subject Commands which map subject line commands to complete policies. This enables the centralized processing policies to be enhanced with direct end user control.

The monitoring has been optimized with a dynamic mail flow. Clients can combine Gateway 4.9 with Z1 SecureMail End2End for organizational end-to-end encryption. This means that emails can be encrypted on the employees’ clients and remain encrypted within the internal network through internal mail servers. Emails are re-encrypted on the gateway thus permitting access for central content filters such as DLP tools and virus scanners. In the mail flow the email is shown as “pending” during the re-encryption process. The re-routing icon allows traceability of every single email.

Large corporations and MSSP partners profit from the new High Volume/Activation counter and automatic reports which can be configured easily via the admin web interface.

Last but not least: The activation and deactivation of TLS ciphers can now be performed directly in the admin web interface. Policy options include the Rank of Trust for clients with the Z1 CertServer.

Release 4.9 is immediately available and can be updated using the Z1 Appliance interface.
