TeleTrusT – IT Security Association Germany
TeleTrusT is a widespread competence network for IT security comprising members from industry, administration, research as well as national and international partner organizations with similar objectives. TeleTrusT provides interdisciplinary fora for IT security experts and facilitates information exchange between vendors, users and authorities. TeleTrusT comments on technical, political and legal issues related to IT security and is organizer of events and conferences. TeleTrusT is a non-profit association, whose objective is to promote information security professionalism, raising awareness and best practices in all domains of information security. TeleTrusT is carrier of the “European Bridge CA” (provision of public key certificates for secure e-mail communication), the quality seal “IT Security made in Germany” and runs the IT expert certification program “TeleTrusT Information Security Professional (T.I.S.P.)”. TeleTrusT is member of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). The association is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
TeleTrusT Initiative “IT Security made in Germany”
The TeleTrusT Working Group “ITSMIG” aims to present IT security products, solutions and services “made in Germany” at national and international level towards industry partners, politics, authorities, organizations and science, by emphasizing particular trustworthiness laid down in criteria that are basis for granting the quality seal.
The bearer of the TeleTrusT quality seal “IT Security made in Germany”:
Shall be headquartered in Germany.
Shall offer trustworthy IT security solutions.
Shall not offer solutions that contain hidden backdoors for third parties.
Shall have its IT security research and development established in Germany.
Shall be compliant with German data protection law.
Alliance for Cyber Security
The Alliance for Cyber Security is an initiative of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) founded in cooperation with the Federal Association for Information Technology, Telecommunications and New Media (BITKOM). As an association of all major players in the field of cyber security in Germany, the mission of the Alliance is to increase cyber security in Germany and strengthen Germany s resistance to cyber-attacks. To do so, the Alliance for Cyber Security is building up a comprehensive knowledge base and supporting exchange of information and experience.
